Foam Dressing

Foam Dressing Manufacturers

Foam Dressing is an advanced wound care solution designed to provide superior absorption, cushioning, and protection for moderate to heavily exuding wounds, while maintaining an optimal moist healing environment. Constructed primarily from hydrophilic polyurethane (PU) foam, these dressings can be used alone or in combination with an adhesive border, soft silicone interface, or antimicrobial agents (e.g., silver) to meet various clinical requirements.

Material & Structure:

Core Layer: High-absorbent PU foam for rapid fluid uptake and effective exudate control.

Optional Ultra-Absorbent Layer: Incorporating super absorbent polymer (SAP) to lock in fluid and reduce maceration.

Contact Layer: Soft, perforated silicone adhesive layer (developed using specialized silicone gel perforation technology) for moderate adhesion, atraumatic removal, and secure fixation to surrounding skin.

Backing Film: Waterproof, highly breathable PU film that prevents bacterial ingress while allowing moisture vapor transmission.

Protective Layer: Removable PE or PET release film for easy, aseptic application.

Key Features & Performance:

High absorption capacity for extended wear (3–7 days depending on wound condition).

Cushions and protects sensitive or high-friction wound areas.

Conforms to body contours for enhanced comfort and mobility.

Non-adherent wound contact surface minimizes trauma and pain during dressing changes.

Waterproof surface allows showering without dressing removal.

Available in bordered (self-adhesive) and non-bordered versions (requiring secondary fixation).

Antimicrobial foam options (silver-impregnated) for wounds at risk of infection.

Shapes, Sizes & Options:

Shapes: Square, rectangular, oval, sacral, heel, elbow, and other anatomical designs.

Sizes: Standard (5×5 cm, 10×10 cm, 15×15 cm, 20×20 cm) and custom OEM dimensions.

Thickness: Standard and thin profiles to meet clinical or consumer needs.

Packaging: Sterile/non-sterile formats, private label packaging, multi-language labeling.

Application Fields:
Suitable for pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, post-operative surgical wounds, skin graft sites, traumatic injuries, and burns—especially where moderate to heavy exudate management and external contamination protection are required.

Advantages for Buyers:

Reduces dressing change frequency, lowering labor and material costs.

Enhances patient comfort and wound healing outcomes.

Compatible with both hospital bulk supply and retail distribution channels.

Target Buyers & Distribution Channels:
Hospitals, wound care clinics, nursing homes, home healthcare providers, retail pharmacies, e-commerce medical supply platforms, and global medical wholesalers.
